Editorial policy

The standards that govern what gets published here.

This policy sets out how Digite360 sources and checks information, where AI is used and what it is not allowed to do, how independence from commercial relationships is maintained, and how errors are corrected. It is the governing document for the practices described in our data methodology, AI disclosure and corrections pages.

Scope and responsibility

Digite360 publishes technology news, structured product information, comparisons and buying guidance across mobiles, computing hardware, audio and video, wearables, gaming and software.

Editorial responsibility for everything published here sits with Digite360. Content is produced with AI assistance and is subject to editorial review against the standards set out on this page; where a standard has a mechanism behind it, that mechanism is described in our data methodology, our AI disclosure and our corrections policy.

Editorial mission

Digite360 exists to help consumers, professionals, business leaders, developers and technology enthusiasts stay informed about the products, trends and developments shaping the technology they use.

Through reporting, analysis, product information, buying guides, comparisons and explanatory content, we aim to be a reliable source of technology information — one that makes complex technology understandable, accessible and actionable rather than merely covered.

Accuracy and sourcing

Factual accuracy and source verification come before speed, breadth and search performance. A claim is published with its evidence state visible rather than presented with more confidence than the underlying source supports.

Information may be drawn from:

  • Official company announcements and press releases
  • Manufacturer product documentation and technical specifications
  • Industry reports and market research
  • Academic and scientific publications
  • Regulatory filings and government resources
  • Technology conferences and industry events
  • Expert commentary and professional analysis
  • Established research organisations and recognised data sources

Where a specification is missing or sources conflict, the field stays visibly missing or is marked lower-confidence. It is never filled in by inference and presented as fact.

Published content is reviewed and updated as new information becomes available.

Areas of coverage

We aim to provide substantive, well-sourced coverage across the areas where technology decisions are actually made:

  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI
  • Smartphones, mobile devices, gadgets and wearables
  • Computing hardware, components and peripherals
  • Audio, video and home entertainment technology
  • Gaming hardware, platforms and accessories
  • Consumer software, SaaS platforms and enterprise software
  • Cloud computing, data analytics and digital transformation
  • Cybersecurity, privacy and digital safety
  • Startups, venture funding and e-commerce technology
  • Emerging technologies and the future of work

Breadth is not the objective in itself. A category is covered when we can say something useful and evidenced about it; coverage that cannot meet the standards below is not published to fill a gap.

News and attribution

Digite360 aggregates technology news rather than republishing it. A news record carries the source headline, a short excerpt, publication details and an outbound link to the original report. Readers are sent to the publisher for the full story.

Summaries add navigation context. They do not substitute for the original reporting and are not presented as Digite360's own journalism.

Editorial independence

Advertisers, sponsors, technology vendors, manufacturers, agencies and business partners do not influence coverage decisions, review conclusions, rankings, recommendations or the priority given to a topic.

No commercial relationship can purchase a favourable review, a ranking position or a recommendation. A commercial preference never overrides a factual correction.

How AI is used, and what it may not do

Digite360 uses AI as a supporting layer, and the boundaries are set out in full in our AI disclosure. This section states the editorial rules behind them.

Permitted uses

  • Research assistance and topic exploration
  • Trend identification and data analysis
  • Content discovery, categorisation and organisation
  • Drafting summaries and comparison context from records the platform already holds
  • Explaining available evidence to a reader on request

Prohibited uses

  • Manufacturing a rating, price, benchmark result or test finding that no source supports
  • Presenting a generated image as a photograph, or an unattributed image as an attributed one
  • Asserting a claim with more confidence than the underlying record carries
  • Producing content whose sourcing cannot be traced back to a record

AI output is bounded by the records behind it. Unsupported price and performance claims are filtered out of generated text before it is displayed.

Human oversight

AI does not have the final word. Source rights, product identity, regional variants and consequential editorial claims require human judgement, and a record that turns on any of them is not published on automated confidence alone.

Where a reader challenges something we have published, a person reviews it. An automated system can reject a malformed record; it cannot decide whether a claim is fair.

Reviews, comparisons and buying guides

Product assessments cover the attributes that determine whether a product suits a reader, which may include:

  • Features and functionality
  • Performance and reliability
  • User experience and usability
  • Security and privacy characteristics
  • Innovation and differentiation
  • Pricing and value for money
  • Support, warranty and ecosystem

Comparisons state what is being compared and on what evidence. Where a figure is a launch price awaiting verification rather than a current offer, it is labelled as such rather than shown as a live price.

Verification process

Before a record is published or updated, it goes through a structured review:

  • Verification of factual claims against a named source
  • Cross-referencing more than one reliable source where a claim is consequential
  • Validation of technical specifications against manufacturer documentation
  • Review of statistics, market data and research findings
  • An editorial pass for clarity, accuracy and completeness

Automated contracts reject malformed records before they reach the site. They cannot judge whether a claim is true, which is why they sit alongside editorial judgement rather than replacing it.

Content integrity

Digite360 does not publish:

  • Misleading headlines or clickbait
  • Machine-generated filler produced to occupy search results
  • Unverified rumour presented as fact
  • Manipulated rankings or recommendations
  • Plagiarised content, or competitor prose reproduced as our own

The objective is original, useful content that serves a reader making a decision, rather than content optimised primarily for search placement.

Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate relationships

Digite360 may carry advertising and sponsored content, and may participate in affiliate programmes. Wherever it does, these rules apply without exception:

  • Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored, clearly and at the point of reading — not in a footnote.
  • Affiliate links are disclosed, and an affiliate relationship never buys visibility, ranking or a recommendation.
  • Compensation never influences editorial conclusions, scores or coverage decisions.
  • Advertising participation is not an endorsement unless it explicitly says so.
  • An advertiser cannot see, review or approve editorial content about them before it publishes.

The commercial detail sits on its own pages: how affiliate links work in our affiliate disclosure, and what we will and will not accept in advertise with us.

Corrections and updates

Technology moves quickly and accuracy is an ongoing obligation, not a one-time check. Published records are reviewed and updated as information changes.

Product identity, specifications, regional availability, evidence labels, image attribution, summaries and links all fall within the correction process, which is described in full in corrections.

Contact the editorial team

For corrections, factual disputes, feedback, media requests, partnership disclosures or content concerns, write to info@digite360.com or use the routes listed on our contact page.

Rights holders and manufacturers raising an identity, attribution or licensing issue should say so in the subject line so it can be prioritised.

Our commitment

Digite360 is committed to trustworthy technology coverage: independent assessments, accurate reporting, evidence that a reader can follow back to its source, and analysis written to be useful rather than to perform well in a search result.

As technology continues to change the way people live and work, our obligation is unchanged — to help readers stay informed, understand what is actually new, and decide with confidence. Where we fall short of the standards on this page, we would rather hear about it than not.
